Osamudiamen Patrick O'Basuyi

OBAX Chairman and CEO

OBAX Chairman and CEO Osamudiamen Patrick O’Basuyi was born in Benin City, capital of the former Bini Empire in Nigeria. He emigrated to the USA in August of 1979 after graduating from Edo Boys High School, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. While in the USA, he attended Southern University and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

As an Architect, O’Basuyi worked for over ten years at several leading USA Architectural and Engineering companies. In 1985, he acquired a multidiscipline professional ARCHITECTURAL & ENGINEERING consulting firm, ARLOU, INC. headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. In 2000, he incorporated AMERICON LLC to provide large-scale infrastructure construction for AT&T, Charter Communication and others throughout the continental USA. AMERICON INFRASTRUCTURE, LLC was later formed expanding its services to include design and construction of Telecom, Broadband, Wireless, Water/Wastewater Drainage Systems, Power (transmission lines) and Energy with emphasis on Oil and Gas EPCI – O&M services.

After many successes and accolades in the USA, O’Basuyi established OBAX WORLWIDE LIMITED, a 100% Nigeria Limited Liability company to focus exclusively on projects in Africa with Headquarters in Nigeria and supporting companies in the USA. OBAX is now the fastest growing and largest 100% OBAX Chairman & INDIGENOUS NIGERIAN LOCAL CONTENT COMPANY supporting oil and gas companies with specialized in-country onshore and offshore services for Exploration, Development, Production and Processing.
OBAX Worldwide Limited is doing business in AFRICA and other countries outside the United States. OBAX Worldwide has a long and successful working relationship with entities based in the United States, which act as independent contractors to OBAX Worldwide in its projects in Nigeria and around the world.

His prominent partners for mergers and acquisitions included: GIANT INDUSTRIES, INC., largest operator of crude oil refineries and pipeline systems in Arizona, USA; JEFFERIES & COMPANY, Inc. an institutional brokerage firm and investment bank headquartered in New York that focuses on capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and advisory and restructuring services; and COLONY CAPITAL CORPORATION, a Fort Worth, TX based private equity investment company with a market capitalization of over $8 Billion.

    Chairman O’Basuyi leads elite teams of reliable equity and technical partners and highly regarded businesspersons with proven management, financial and operational capabilities who have been involved in acquisitions of divestiture assets for many years. Chairman O’Basuyi has participated in offered divestiture assets involving the following mergers and acquisitions under the auspices of FPX Group, LLC:
  • GTE/ Bell Atlantic wired land line telephone assets in Oklahoma, East Texas and Texarkana ($550 million)
  • Loews/ Cineplex/ Sony divestiture of 17 movie theatres in Chicago, Illinois ($7.5 million)
  • Exxon/ Mobil divestiture of refinery and retail outlets in the U.S. ($1.1 billion)
  • Exxon/ Mobil divestiture of LPG storage, fuel distribution terminal and retail outlets in Guam ($25 million) OBAX CEO Profile 4
